Multiply your output by 4
Your OMNIS titration system can be configured to perform up to four measurements on the same system at the same time. In the maximum configuration, the automatic titration system consists of four workstations for measurements, up to eight pumps, and a Sample Robot capable of handling up to 175 samples.
Automated sample changing for 175 samples
The modular approach of OMNIS can also be found in the automation options. Choose the size of the OMNIS Sample Robot (S, M, or L) and enjoy automated sample changing of 50, 125 or up to 175 samples, depending on your needs.
Nonstop titration
When titration is complete for certain samples and you want to remove titrated samples from the rack and place fresh samples up for measurement, there is no need to stop currently running measurements. Simply exchange sample racks while the instrument continues with the measurements.

Automatic titration – FAQ
What is an automated titration?
In automated titrations, the titration is performed automatically, including endpoint and equivalence point detection, results calculation, sample preparation, and sample series analysis. This is how automated titrations work with autotitrators from Metrohm:
- The titrant is added with an automated piston buret. This ensures that the volume of titrant added is precise.
- The sample is homogenized with a stirrer.
- The electrode detects the titration endpoint. This removes the subjectivity of color changes present in manual titrations.
- The results are automatically calculated and displayed. This limits the risk of human errors.
With the OMNIS Sample Robot, you can analyze up to 175 samples in one run, completely unattended.

Which types of titration can be automated?
Automation is applicable to all titration types, such as acid-base titration, redox titration, non-aqueous titration, volumetric or coulometric Karl Fischer titration, and others.
What are the benefits of automated titration?
Auto titration, or automated titration, brings considerable advantages to your laboratory. Manual titration is known to be a subjective process prone to errors, as the results can vary from chemist to chemist, even when using the same equipment.
Automated titration allows you to:
- Save time: Automated system can run unattended for several hours or even days, giving you more time for other tasks
- Save money: The improved handling procedures of automated systems reduce the amount of consumables needed
- Increase your profit: Automation increases your sample throughput
- Rely on your results: Automation gives highly precise results and increases the accuracy, and repeatability of your measurements
- Stay safe: Walk-away automation minimizes direct contact with harmful substances and reagents
